Welcome to my little website. This is part of a project that I'm creating for my own personal and business development. My name is Chanel and I'm a freelance writer from Massachusetts. I have written for the web ever since it was allowed. I got my start writing for Examiner.com in 2006-07.
From there, I went on to start my own fashion blog. It achieved minor success. I was likened to a micro influencer then. I went on to work for Demand Studios, where I would produce work for eHow.com and Livestrong. I also started my copywriting career with TextBroker.
My freelance writing journey is filled with ebbs and flows. There were times when I quit, got fired, and laid-off. This led me to work in retail, customer service, and in-store events. Eventually, I would find my way back, as I always do. I wrote for a plethora of digital news sites.
My work has been published on Examiner.com, Inquisitr.com, AllMediaNY.com, TVShowsAce.com, CelebDirtyLaundry, The Hollywood Gossip, NewsBreak, among others. So many others along the way have come and went. It's hard to keep track of them all. During this time, I learned about the fundamentals of writing web content that's engaging and eye-catching. I also learned about SEO and WordPress management.
My freelance writing journey is evolving once again. This time, I'm stepping into the world of technical writing. I'm also dipping a toe into tech sales. As a result, I want to build up my portfollio by showing that I know the basics of coding/HTML and can follow directions. This is probably why you're here.
